yup doesnt matter though, cell phones have always been prohibited from being used while a train is in motion by operating rules. Now, they are not even supposed to be turned on, and that is not just operating rule but Federal law and subject to very severe penalty for infractions

Rango's right, the only time any of my coworkers, or myself use our cell phones on duty is to call the Chief DS so we dont have to use the radio. and following the Metrolink/UP collision in CA, they will really be enforcing that
